One of the top brokers at Douglas Elliman and ranked #3 on the Westside, Paul Zweben is widely known among his colleagues, customers and friends for his humor, no-nonsense negotiating skills, and his excellent recipes and cooking videos on his blog, Hungry Domaine (, on which Paul writes extensively about his 2 favorite topics, real estate and food.

Paul made the move to a career in real estate after working for 28 years in the restaurant business. He began at age 14 working in a bakery and after attending college and culinary school, worked his way up to eventually become a chef at notable restaurants like The River Cafe in Brooklyn Heights. In the mid-90's Paul formed a restaurant partnership, owning and operating 4 upscale restaurants in NYC and one in Washington DC. Today, Paul remains a partner at BLT Prime in Gramercy and Calle Ocho on the Upper West Side as well as BLT Steak in DC but is thrilled he decided to shift gears and team up with his wife and business partner, Carolyn Zweben approximately 10 years ago. Since Paul's transition to real estate, he and Carolyn have grown the Zweben Team into a top, Pinnacle Award-winning team, recognized not only for their success and consistency in a challenging and constantly shifting market, but also for the leadership roles they have taken on within the company.

Paul is known for his creative and forward-thinking marketing strategies and is regularly invited to speak to agents nationally throughout the Douglas Elliman offices on how to grow their business. He was also thrilled to be able to speak at a roundtable of successful chefs at the Inman Connect 2015 conference showing how business and marketing strategies are valuable and transferable across disciplines.

When working with Paul, buyers and sellers will never worry that they are not Paul's top priority; he is always focused, extremely responsive and genuinely invested in each client's purchasing or selling experience. He oversees every aspect of the transaction ensuring that any bumps that may come up whether they are related to financing, closing an open permit with the DOB, or timing issues, are immediately dealt with in order to successfully bring the deal to a close for his client.

It is rare to find someone as committed to his career as Paul is to real estate. Paul loves what he does, which is very obvious from the first time you speak with him.

Paul, Carolyn , and their children Olivia and Parker live on Riverside Drive on the Upper West Side and enjoy spending summer weekends at their home upstate where they cook, garden and entertain friends.
